Our guest today is John Gildred who is the President of Synctv.com which is an Internet video service based upon the Marlin DRM industry standard that enables consumer electronics appliances to get television programming directly from the Internet without going through a computer. Brightcove recently introduced a new version of its Internet video delivery service that is (1) more search-engine-friendly, (2) capable of adjusting the screen images for fluctuating bandwidth, and (3) employing a new user interface.
Our guest today is Adam Berrey who is the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Strategy at Brightcove. His company is a pioneer in Software-as-a-Service for Internet video delivery, propagation, and, tracking. The multimedia press release is not merely an idea whose time has come; it is one that is long overdue! Although I receive most press releases via email, they are still composed as though the delivery mechanism is the U.S. Postal Service. Moreover, they are overflowing with bad writing and technology companies are the worst offenders.
